Are you not grasping what the 'players player' is all about?

Jeez lads, you have serious chips on your shoulders (thistle_dave _ I would go and see a doctor about yours).
Visser may well be the best player in the league, however until the league is over, you cannot judge that. If one of the players in the four play-off teams has an outstanding couple of games, that is far more relevant to a season - in terms of individual player contribution.
Regardless of chooses the awards, try-scoring alone is not a sufficient criterion to judge a "player of the season" in a game where a multi-faceted skillset is required, like rugby.

You may want to save the "Leinster entitlement talk" until someone from Leinster shows a sense of entitlement. I can't see a word which indicates anything like that, just the opinion that that Visser may not be curates_egg's first choice, which I would agree with. There are players in the pro12, Irish and non-Irish, who I feel have done more for their team and themselves, than Visser. Nothing do do with entitlement.

Visser was named Players' Player of the year. That means he was voted for by his peers and by all accounts it's well deserved. He has scored alot of tries in a team that have struggled in the league.

curates - since the PLAYER awards are clearly intended to recognise individual player attributes and performances, their overall team performance surely isn't relevant. The regular season has ended and so this would seem to be the appropriate time for such a recognition. I assume you hail from Dublin - your comments bear the sense of entitlement that seems to come with Leinster territory.

Got to agree with you there lol,and yes i feel Scott and Ansbro / Grove could well be good centers for Scotland

The sooner we get Visser into a Scotland shirt the better. A back three of hogg, Visser and Jones (or Evans) is a very enticing prospect indeed. All Scotland needs now are centres who can pass the ball... Scott and Ansbro perhaps.

Hmm. A number of problems with this, not least: the season is not over yet. Rather, the most important games are yet to come! How can you choose a player of the season at that stage. Surely the final games are the key ones.
Also, Visser may have scored lots of tries but Edinburgh are second from bottom.
In short, this is not serious.
