Reds winger Digby Ioane will miss this week's Super Rugby meeting with the Western Force in Brisbane following an incident in Melbourne on Saturday.
Discussions between Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) and Ioane were held on Monday and all parties have agreed that the wing failed to demonstrate the necessary behaviours expected of a senior player within the Reds squad.
"Digby has taken responsibility for his actions and is cognisant of the high standards and organisational values expected of each member of the Reds squad both on and off the field," read a Reds statement.
"These expectations have also been reinforced to all members in the Reds squad on Monday afternoon.
"The decision by QRU to stand down Digby directly relates to the expectation on him as a senior member of the team, and is not an outcome of enquiries made by Victorian Police over the weekend.
"Digby will continue to train with the Reds and will be available for selection next week in the team's round six Super Rugby match against the Bulls at Suncorp Stadium."

more to this than just a little scuffle - for one of the highest-paid players in the world, $700,000+ a year he has "accumulated a fairly long list of transgressions" including one earlier the same day - a 'tweeted' gangster photo featuring Ioane, Quade Cooper and Rebels players in a hot-tub.

Seems strange that Ioane, who it seems didn't hit anyone, cops a week when Beale, who did, has yet to be sanctioned in any way by anyone 9 months later.

He, and Ben Tapuai, have heaps of family in Melbourne, its where they grew up. So it's probably why they remained on in Melbourne. Cooper was out with friends (O Conor and co)

The party boys! Incident occurred 5.40am, but a least this time QC had already left before the 'alleged assault' by Ioane's brother happened.
"It is believed Ioane and Reds five-eighth Quade Cooper remained in Melbourne after Friday night¿s 23-13 Super Rugby win over the Melbourne Rebels."
Silly, minor stuff, but still, doing an all-nighter after a game probably not in the team protocols.
