Johan Goosen and Coenie Oosthuizen have given the Cheetahs a boost with news that the Bok duo will be fit for the start of the Super Rugby season.
The Cheetahs' fly-half and prop were both sidelined through ankle and neck injuries respectively last year, but are set to feature in the Bloemfontein-based side's opening clash against the Sharks on Februry 23.
"Coenie has been undergoing rehabilitation and its going very well so far," coach Naka Drotske told supersport.
"He hasn't scrummed yet and hasn't taken a lot of contact, but we're sure he will be ready. He has to be given the go-ahead by the specialist, but if he says he is ready, then he will be."
Drotske is also hoping to have star full-back Willie le Roux (groin), flank Lappies Labuschagne (ankle) and number eight Phillip van der Walt back in action, with former Bok flank Heinrich Brussow also pushing to be fit for the start of the season.

This year I will be supporting the Cheetahs for SR. How is Juan Smith doing? Is he training? I went on the Cheetahs website and he is not featuring in the first squad.

Thank goodness ! The poor Cheetahs need a boost... They've had such bad luck with injuries the last few seasons.
Can't wait to see Johan Goosen back on the field !
