"Ben Smith is way ahead of Taylor" ...Are you nuts? Have you actually been watching the Super rugby? On form Taylor has been the best 15 from the NZ teams. Dagg has the best pedigree but to be honest he's been pretty quiet this Super season. He certainly hasn't lit up the paddock like he has done in the last few seasons. I'll be looking for a lot more zip from him come test time than he has shown for the Crusaders thus far.

Agree with spike19, it's not that Ben Smith isn't a good player, but he doesn't have the zip, and acceleration and speed that Taylor has.

And I disagree with Grant Fox's remarks that taylor still has some stuff to work on. This season all-round he's been better than Dagg who's made quite a few errors and shown a real donkey of a kick out of hand - that's something Dagg needs to work on.

Ben Smith is way ahead of Taylor...Smith and Ellison have been playing consistent rugby and have been outstanding throughout the S15 season

A great fullback and unlucky not to make the cut, but who are we kidding, its dagg's position all day long

Never mind 2nd best in NZ. Taylor would be in the top 10 15's in the world, and rising.

Surely the second best 15 behind Dagg in NZ right now on form???? Robbie Robinson also played some great footy at the start of the competition.

Can't believe they left this guy out! Ben Smith is a solid player but he just doesn't have that X factor that Taylor has.

Now that Kahui is out I would put Taylor in instead of Gear or Guilford who are both patchy this season.
