Headhunter99 says...

What a complete and total Bok up......Haskell has gone up in my estimation for the dignified way he has taken this.

Good on Haskell for simply accepting it. Was enjoying watching him in super fifteen though. At least he'll be well rested for the England tour... He'll need to be!!

@tweedledee49 Me too, this is a load of nonsense. I hope he can appeal.

This is a cock-up on top of a balls-up.

I think the citing time for the original scrotum-grabber has now lapsed.

I thought that the decisions made in hearings are final?

I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous. It's not Haskell's fault that the officials couldn't find their arse with an atlas. And where's the equal ban for cowardly Downey for trying to squeeze his plums in the first place?

APV1 says...

What a shower of incompetent idiots. Even the members of this website remembered his previous issues, so how come Mike Heron didn't get this information? He's got the whole of SANZAR judicial system at his disposal and they couldn't pick up the RFU and ask whether he had "previous"?! It beggars belief.

Added to the fact that the judicial officer defended the "head-butt" at the time, as Vickery was being punched repeatedly, Haskell asked the ref to intervene and the ref didn't. So he cleared the player out of the ruck by going in head first.

I'm not defending his actions - you don't head butt people, it's not nice - but to drag this up from 4 years ago is rubbish. He was only given a week's ban, such were the mitigating circumstances.

Rugby citings and the subsequent rulings are a farce across the world - it's certainly not limited to SANZAR. Something needs to be done.
