Well, Rugby isn't Basketball where you can double a player and try to take him out of the game. t is too complex for that. And also, surely you dont have to tell the opposition centre(s) to make their tackles on SBW, because that is what they will be out to try and do anyway. However, just a rush-defence and the commitment to tackles will not stop him either, both because of his strength (mainly) and speed and indeed stepping when he wants to and because of his offloading. There is a reason that he draws that much attention and it is not his tatoos or studio-tan... ;)

@NH Sants - I think you'll be suprised by how good of a step he's got, he just hardly ever uses it. I saw it in the WC.
It's one of his weaknesses, he tends to forget amout the full armory. Doesn't use the fend either. He just likes to hit up & offload (aka League). He could be so much more dangerous if he developed his attack a bit more, defenders know what to expect.

Simple, the guy can't step all that well so come out the line and tackle him round the legs and get everyone else to mark up.

Got to agree re SBW. Watch him too closely and there are 14 others who will benefit.This game should give an indication of where the Sharks are. The Chiefs are the best side I've seen apart from the Stormers this year. If we can win this one we have a chance to make play-offs.

EXACTLY ! COUCHES ARE OVER EMPHASISNG SBW's IMPORTANCE. The only thing that I have noticed about him is his unnatural ability with his offload (Thanks to those freakishly big mitts he has). Have his opposite number watch him closely (no matter how big he is if you want to play on this level you should be able to tackle guys bigger than you) and cut off his supporting runners as soon as they get the ball. This Chiefs team is bigger than SBW alone and if you plan you're entire game around him and focus only on what his going to do then I don't see how you're going to beat them.
