There are people who it would be a good idea to ignore. Just stopped paying them so much attention. I know that's simplistic, but Williams has never said anything worth hearing. Or shown any loyalty. Let's just enjoy his rugby, whoever he plays it for.

And perhaps it would be a good idea if people outside the marketplace ignored his agent too.

I'm sure that, as a rugby player, Williams is happier with the Chiefs. He never seemed the Crusader type.

Yeah, surprised you haven't picked up the Stormers story...

His agent was here in SA to seal the deal for his involvement in a 7's tournament in George (and that of Quade Cooper), while also negotiating with a boxing promoter to arrange a fight (and most likely more thereafter) in SA...

He is quoted as saying that SBW has fallen in love with Cape Town and basically said he would love to play for the Stormers - if they make him an offer. Obviously SA also offers more heavyweight boxing opportunities than NZ or Japan... So it makes sense.

This was straight from his agent. Might be the truth, might just be a way to get another offer on the table... Let's see.

But the Stormers are pretty loyal to JdV, so don't know if they would make him an offer. But who knows - maybe if they narrowly miss out on the championship for the third year in a row......

moves from dominating league to dominating union, is crowned a world champion in perhaps the greatest rugby team ever assembled (athough he could have had a league world cup aswell if he left a few months later), joins the best super rugby team hence the best club team in the world, (wins the NZ boxing title) and has every chance to win a super rugby title, all within four years. yeahhhhhhh he is bound to have his share of mostly jealous critics

Herbman -- good one

Local newspapers reporting he might even come to the Stormers next year.
