Agree with the tmcadams- Jonker was poor in the Canes game- some of the penalties were simply not correct. They have a tough job- so the sooner the IRB makes the laws simpler the better it will be!

reffing is definitely not easy and mistakes are made , but not consecutively, unfortunately the Cheetahs were on the wrong end even when the brumbies were clearly engaging early. What concerns Cheetah fans is it probably cost them the win, no team is going to deliberately wheel or crab the scrum on their 22 in the dying minutes when a penalty could lose them the game - just does not make sense?

Its very worrying that the standard of refering at all levals this year and last seems to be deterorating.I have defended them as a whole as they are going to make mistakes and miss things they arnt gods after all.But there does atm seem to be a hint of bias creeping into the sport .Where one team for whatever reason seems to be on the wrong end of most 50/50 situations or being penalised for offences being commited by both teams while the other isnt.More referee training has to be given imo and some of their load taken off their shoulders.A good way would be for an independant ref to watch the game and perhaps give a team warning for walking the scrum or feeding it ect .Then a written dossier can be sent to a referee for the next game telling him things for him to watch out for being done by both teams

Players should be given more power on-field for reviews. Just fining or penaliising the referee does not affect the outcome of the match and that should also be revised. A match or points deduction/review should be done post-match and the outcome and final winner of the match afterwards. Until a time/date where referees are bred on a solitary island where they qualify and not favour one team above the other.
