Bath coach Neil Hatley believes prop Nathan Catt should be in the frame for England's tour to New Zealand next month.
The 26-year-old has battled all season for a starting spot in the Bath side with Wales international Paul James, impressing in recent weeks.
Catt's good form has seen him secure the starting berth and with England set to take an enlarged squad to New Zealand he may well have landed himself a seat on the plane.
"Nathan Catt has been absolutely outstanding. I'm pretty sure that come New Zealand his name will come into the reckoning," Hatley told the Bath Chronicle.
"He's playing more regularly and he's getting better and better.
"His earned his starting spot above Paul James and he's produced the goods week after week, whether he's starting or coming off the bench.
"England are quite blessed at loosehead with the likes of Corbisiero, Marler, Mako Vunipola and Matt Mullan, but I think Catty is easily as good as those blokes."
Catt was part of the England Saxons squad earlier this year.
