Bradley Davies Cardiff Blues 2013

Leaving: Bradley Davies

Second-row Bradley Davies is the latest player to leave Wales after it was confirmed on Tuesday he is to join London Wasps.

The 42-times capped international has been a Wales regular since his debut in 2009 and captained his country on last year's June tour to Japan. He joins Wasps from Cardiff Blues.

Director of Rugby Dai Young believes Davies will add considerable strength to the Club's second-row options.

"We have a pool of very good locks here and bringing someone like Bradley in will only broaden that group, offering us huge experience and quality," said Young.

"I know Bradley quite well and he is a great guy to have in your squad. He is a proven leader which has been recognised with him captaining his country, and, as we continue to strengthen our side, I think he will be an excellent player for us."

"I know Dai very well from my time at the Blues and his vision for London Wasps is something that has been very appealing to me," said Davies.

"I have been with the Blues since I was seventeen years old and I have a huge amount to thank everyone there for, but I am also hugely excited about playing in a new league with a new club."
