Northampton Saints scrum-half Kahn Fotuali'i is relishing his first few weeks at the club after moving from the Ospreys.
The Samoan international has linked up with his new team after representing the Barbarians against the British and Irish Lions in Hong Kong.
Fotuali'i was highly sought after by clubs in both the UK and France after his impressive performances for the Ospreys and Samoa over the last two seasons.
However he opted for Northampton after their success in the Heineken Cup in recent seasons and after being impressed by the facilites at the club.
"I got to look around a few clubs but I really liked the setup they have here. Being here for the first week has confirmed the decision I made," said Fotuali'i to the club's website.
"I also like the brand of rugby they play and I thought I'd try out the Premiership and see what it's all about - it definitely looks tough! That and the Heineken Cup attracted me and the chance of progressing to quarter finals and semi-finals is something that excites me."
"It was a big honour to be invited to play for the Barbarians and it was a pleasure to get out there with some quality players from around the world.
"I was just lucky to be in the right place at the right time really [for the try] but it was great to score and a once in a lifetime opportunity to play against the Lions."
