Extension: Nick Scott

London Welsh have announced that Nick Scott has agreed a new one-year contract extension with the Aviva Premiership side.

The winger, 22, has crossed four times for the Exiles this season including a dramatic last gasp intercept winner to beat Bath at the Kassam Stadium in October in the Aviva Premiership.

It was his second intercept try of the season having similarly pounced in the club's first-ever Premiership victory, against Exeter Chiefs. He also crossed in the Exiles' recent narrow defeat at the hands of champions Harlequins.

His remaining try came in the defeat at Gloucester in the LV= Cup.

It continues the huge impact the winger has made at London Welsh since joining on loan in February 2012 from Bath, where he came through the academy.

Scott played a leading role in the club's Championship success, scoring seven tries in ten appearances during the play-offs, including a hat-trick at Doncaster, a crucial try in the second leg of the Welsh's semi-final win against Bedford at Old Deer Park and another in the first leg of the final against the Cornish Pirates at Mennaye Field.

His move to London Welsh was made permanent in the summer in 2012.

"I'm very happy to have signed a contract extension with London Welsh," said Scott to the club's website.

"It's a club that has been very good to me, showing faith and giving me an opportunity to play in the Aviva Premiership.

"I have been at the club just under a year and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I feel my game has improved working with Lyn Jones and the other coaching staff and I'm confident it will continue to do so under their guidance.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge of consolidating London Welsh's Premiership status with a great bunch of teammates."

"We're very pleased to extend Nick's stay at London Welsh," said London Welsh boss Lyn Jones.

"He's taken his opportunity since his arrival at the club and I hope that he can sustain his growth and improvement, and that he enjoys his time at London Welsh."
