I don't think it's the fact that players were sent off but, rather, which players.
As I saw it, Murphy and Woods red cards; Tuilagi, Lawes and Agulla yellows.
Ashton, however, should have been stripped naked, handcuffed to the posts and pelted with solied nappies until he learned that:

Tuilagi did throw at least one punch, even if it didn't connect (thanks to Lawes ramming into him). That is a red card as far as I am aware. I hope he's not banned / banned for too long because he is one of the few reasons why I watch the Premiership.
From what I saw, three Leicester players through punches and two Northampton, but Geprdan Murphy (poor decision as captain) and Woods were the worst. They both threw at least two decent punches. Murphy was clearly trying to punch Woods in the head and Woods was uppercutting someone else.
I know it's petty and unnecessary (the fighting) but I love to see it and it really adds another dimension to any game. Particularly this game, between the TIgers and Saints.

I suspect there won't be much review, as it'd run the risk of getting Murphy and Agulla put before the beak too.

Mallinder in his televised interview called for the ref to take control before the game kicked off and now he's criticising him for showing red cards following a mass brawl what a crock.
Make your mind up son as your looking like a pillock.
