Sam Smith: Scored one of Harlequins' tries

Harlequins managed a late 17-15 win over Worcester to remain on top of the Aviva Premiership table.

It was a penalty try five minutes from time ensured the away side came away with the points at the Sixways Stadium.

Both sides scored a penalty apiece in the opening twenty minutes here, with neither side able to break through the opposing defences early on.

With both team's matching each other's work ethic in the first half, there weren't many chances of any tries being scored, with Worcester fly half Andy Goode's further two penalties for the home side the only other scores of the half, giving them a six point advantage at the interval.

Goode added another penalty soon after the restart, and found himself in space ten minutes later to kick a brilliant drop goal, the home side seemingly in control.

Harlequins were always likely to make a comeback, though, and five minutes later scored their first try with winger Sam Smith breaking through to dive over.

The away side were now on the ascendancy as they pressed for a try to put themselves in front, and were rewarded for their persistence when they were awarded a late penalty try with five minutes of the game remaining.

Worcester never managed to recover, as Harlequins held on to keep themselves at the top of the table.

As for Worcester, that defeat leaves them in the bottom two in the league, as they continue to search for their second win of the season.
