Clermont's inspirational flanker Julien Bonnaire will miss the upcoming Heineken Cup matches in Pool 4 due to injury.
Bonnaire has been ruled out for six weeks after fracturing his arm against Toulouse on Sunday.
The 35-year-old will now miss the final group stage games in the Heineken Cup against Harlequins and Racing Métro.
Bonnaire's injury adds to what was a frustrating 19-12 loss for Clermont against Toulouse last weekend, their first defeat in all competitions since October.
Clermont lead Pool 4 of the Heineken Cup by four points ahead of Harlequins and are three points clear at the top of the French league.
"This injury does not need an operation but will force the Clermont flanker to have his arm immobilised for several weeks and will keep off the pitch for a period estimated at six weeks," read a club statement.
Another injury concern for Clermont is at scrum-half, where Thierry Lacrampe has joined Morgan Parra on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury that will rule him out for three weeks, leaving only Ludovic Radosavljevic at number nine.
