Talei: Wants Thomond turnaround

Edinburgh flank Netani Talei says the squad must learn from the hurt of their opening home Heineken Cup defeat to Saracens, as they prepare to face Munster in Limerick this Sunday.

Like Edinburgh, the two-time former champions have started their European Cup campaign with defeat, losing to Racing Metro at the Stade de France (22-17).

The sides now go head to head in the southern Irish caldron of Thomond Park, seeking to establish a foothold in the competition, in the second of six pool rounds.

"The boys are still on a low at the moment because we didn't perform to the standard that this club demands. Every single individual involved with Edinburgh is hurting," said Talei.

"Munster will be too, and will be coming out twice as hard as last weekend because, like us, they want to stay in the competition.

"We need to regroup and recapture that buzz in the team. We need to pick ourselves up and work hard in training this week to improve for the next match, and work on our plans to beat Munster on Sunday.

"It has to be a good week for us. We need to re-set our minds and prepare our bodies physically for a very big challenge."

Edinburgh are prepared to wait on the fitness of top try scorer Tim Visser and captain Greig Laidlaw, after the pair picked up leg and shoulder injuries respectively in Saturday's home defeat to Saracens.

I can understand why Edinburgh feel low,They didnt perform at any leval last weekend ,or wherent allowed to would be a better description. But i wouldnt rule them out just yet either, still a fair number of games to go ,and they are a capable side as shown last year.Munster are also struggling ,as they try to transistion to a more 15 man style/gameplan
