@rabja795 'Yes, Evans is soooooo much better than Sexton, and England are the best team in the world, and Saracens will win everything this year because, their like, soooo awesome!!' All it takes is one whiff of victory to get you lot excited.

The team of the week was undoubtely Leinster. Really impressive and enjoyable, NH rugby at its best.

Despite being on the losing side, Alesandro Zanni put in one of the best performance of the week end.

yeah (rabja795) he did did you not rember who was in charge of the Austrailia match give you a hint Sexton he had a shocker with the boot but his main play was good during the world cup. Who has two H cups sexton. Nick who havent heard of him since the Stad Francais drop goal in 09 th year Leinster won the H cup. He may not be a world cup winning fly half but as I recall Evans isint either mate.

@yelloj321.... think you're confusing me with bluelion? Pls scroll down and you'll see my comment is about props, not wingers. Peace :-)

Pity the selection stopped at No. 15. If you want a couple of off-the-pitch "heros" you have to look no further than Harlequins.........?

@Rosbif

How was Fitzy robbed? The ball was knocked on by a Leinster player and Poite was playin advantage. Thems the rules mate.

I wouldn't dare question PR as I haven't seen any of the games, but I will certainly be checking out Toulouse Vs Harlequins if two players from the losing side make team of the week!

papachinzo says...

Aironi, despite them being one of the worst team in the tournament, actually have a good scrum...

Have to say, I would have given it to Sexton, I thought he offered more this weekend. Then again, Evans did play against a better side...

Sad to see Sean O'Brien being shut down this season, everyone's out to get him.

@editor. Lambert (filling in for Marler) vs Toulouse? Ditto Stankovich (in for Ayerza) vs Clermont? (Or Castro in same game?)

There's no doubt Court and Afoa are top players. But there was something of the David getting one over on Goliath about the Quins and Tigers chaps methinks...

Re: Tight Head

Mike Ross was above average I thought. His carry in the first 10 minutes set the tone. He's not usually known for his skill in the loose but he was very dynamic on Saturday I felt.

i never saw the game that ulster game but from what i did see: BJ Botha was strong for munster v Scarlets, the Clemount scrum was million times better then the previous week, Castro was good again for Leicester, when Healy came on leinster he up the intensity. but picking ulster props when they scrum against the weakest pack in the H-Cup.. well you can only play what is front of you!

12Counties says...

@ editor: BJ Botha had a good game for Munster

howrtings says...

Wian Du Preez had a superb game against Rhys Thomas on the weekend. Munster dominated at scrum time....not something you can say after every Munster match - but credit where credits due, I thought he did a number on Thomas, and also weighed in a few hard carries.

After Gough dropped his knee on a player on the ground he deserves a citing, not a pat on thr back

BigRugbyBalls says...

PR, there surely must have been a more impressive loosehead / tighthead performance against better opposition than aironi over the weekend...

The editor says.... Any offerings? Our guy at the game said they were both very good.
