fattysock - phipps has had one start and 3 off the bench; an oz site said less than 100min in all so those subs ones must have been short. but never mind he'll do ok, he managed to perform well behind a not-so-good pack in Super rugby. NZ had seven in their 22 last week with six or less test caps they'll be better for that exp, and this too may be good in long-term for oz not over-depending on one player.

I can't believe that Phipps has only played IN 4 tests over the past two years. I'm guessing most of them are as a sub?

Presumably that means that Genia has played all the other minutes?? Says something not just about his ability, but also his conditioning. Very impressive!

But has it left the Aussies a bit short at #9? As an AB fan I know how hard it was (not so much this year, but certainly the past couple) when either DC or McCaw weren't playing as we'd grown so reliant on them!
