@ Chancer - with the loose forwards just about managing to bash out a rendition of "Chopsticks", eh?! That's a great expression - thank you.

Can't stress enough how much more dangerous Scotland will be with the return of Ansbro at 13 and Lamont at 12...with a good flyhalf (like laidlaw) and some decent wingers (especially with visser coming in this summer and Hogg looking very promising) they'll finally be able to convert those oppertunities into tries...at that point they'll make their return to the top 6-10 in the world...

scotland ---- all bag and no pipes - lots of noise but no tune , haggis with ketchup, whisky and water - lots of promise but no potential --another dreary match and will eventually throw in the caber -----

Funny how these days the concert pianists spend a little time in the gym, while those removals guys have had the odd piano lesson too :)

Like the fact his sticking to his guns on style of play Scotland do look more dangerous this season than they have for many a year imo.Whether they have the players atm to successfully play it is debateable defenitly need to find some class centers .But then thats the case with most teams atm ie Australia -SA -Ireland ect ect...If they can retain the ball which Scotland have been good at this season to give them their due .They will be a threat ,question is can they get behind the good french defence if so then an upset could happen .Personnally i cant see them doing it consistantly during the game but more going lateral till a mistake gifts France the ball and the clinical backs scoring 1-2 tries .Will be closer than people think but France by 3-7 points i feel

Not surprising that this opinion comes from an ex forward! However there is the old chestnut about Forwards decide who wins, the backs by how many. Better expressed in France as The forwards carry the piano but the backs play it.
