Westpac Stadium: To host fourth leg of Sevens World Series

The IRB has confirmed the pool draw for round four of the HSBC Sevens World Series in Wellington on 1-2 February 2013.

The draw was made live on television before the Cup final of the SA Sevens, the third round of the 2012/13 season, which was won by New Zealand.

As winners in South Africa, Wellington hosts New Zealand head Pool A and will face USA, England and Spain on day one.

Port Elizabeth runners-up France, who are now second in the World Series, head Pool B in New Zealand and face matches against Argentina, Kenya and regional qualifiers Tonga.

South Africa head Pool C and were drawn against Wales, Samoa and Canada.

Port Elizabeth surprise package and pool-toppers Portugal were drawn head of Pool D and face three tough matches against Fiji, Australia and Scotland.

After three of the nine rounds in the 2012/13 HSBC Sevens World Series, defending champions New Zealand lead the standings on 60 points, ahead of France (46), Gold Coast champions Fiji (44), South Africa (41) and Dubai champions, Samoa (39).
