Should return: Dan Carter

All Blacks fly-half Dan Carter revealed that he expects to be fit to take on England in their international tour finale at Twickenham this Saturday.

The 30-year-old number ten, who was ruled out of last weekend's 33-10 success over Wales with Achilles and calf problems, trained on Tuesday.

And in a further boost for Steve Hansen, Carter said he felt no ill effects following the session.

"Hopefully I'll be ready, nothing's changed over the last couple of days," explained the Crusader.

"The plan was to get through training and it was pretty light today, I didn't go over 50 per cent. I got through it well.

"We're looking after it well and doing everything right to be ready for this weekend.

"I'm pretty confident I'll be right to play, I just need some positive thinking.

"It's the last game of the year and I want to be part of it."

After the press this week there could be some extra edge. The ABs looked tired on Sat which is not surprising as their season started in Feb. and will begin again in Feb 2013. I expect a flat, kick fest. Maybe they should stick with Cruden if its going to a penalty shoot out - 100% v Wales.

@Isograford: You don't have to be bad for ABs to put 25 on you.

@ Jaycee DC will definitely play. He was rested because Wales were not the threat they had predicted pre tour. It was one of his cotton wool injuries. He only gets out of bed for serious teams.... Maybe he won't play. He will. England rivalry + end of season.

I'd like to see him play - might help show us what a quality fly half looks like - because that is one area we are struggling in (one of a few). Every young team needs a few lessons and I fear this might be one of them!

For gawds sake, Hansen could drag Grant Fox out of retirement and this ABs team would still beat this English side.

@ArmchairGeneral by 25 points?? Oh come now, even as a Kiwi myself i don't think England are THAT bad. The All Blacks are almost out of gas, and have only been stringing one good half together all year. If ever England were going to do it this is their chance. They weren't that far away against the Aussies and Boks, even unlucky one could say.

Take it easy Carter! Only need to stay on for 50-60 minutes and Crudeness will take over from there.

the 'Caines flyhalf Beauden Barrett could play 10 and they'd still win, so I don;t think Carter is really the difference between a win or a loss.

I can't see how england can win this, but I get paid tomorrow so that means a fridge fully stocked with real ales from all over the westcountry, brilliant company and and open mind towards good rugby, no matter who's playing it, means that I'm going to have alot of fun on Saturday!

Not sure that the AB need him to beat England; may be better to let him fully recover...

not good news for us English!!!

They'll beat us by more than they beat Wales in that case. DC will more than compensate for the likely rain. They'll also be annoyed they let Wales back in and give us a full 80 minute end of season treatment. ABs by 25 As always with ABs it will be a closer game than the points suggest because they are just awesome at getting 7 points from every minor mistake.
