Blitzbokke assistant coach Vuyo Zangqa has told the South African Rugby Union (SARU) that he will not renew his contract past 31 October.
Zangqa will step down from his current role with the team despite being offered an extension, as he has decided to pursue other opportunities.
"We are disappointed to see Vuyo go but we wish him all the best with his career choice," said Jurie Roux, CEO of SARU in a press release.
Zangqa cited personal reasons for his decision and thanked SARU for the opportunities afforded to him since 2007, when he made his Springbok Sevens debut as a player.
"I would like to wish the team all of the best for the rest of the HSBC Sevens World Series season," said Zangqa.
