Former France international Sébastien Chabal has confirmed that he will play his last professional game on Sunday.
The 36-year-old Lyon loose forward will finish his career on a high note with LOU already having secured the ProD2 title and with it promotion to the Top 14.
Chabal won the English Premiership with Sale in 2006 and earned 62 caps for France but has resisted the temptation to prolong his career back the top flight of French rugby, unlike long-time friend and team-mate Lionel Nallet, who has extended his contract with Lyon.
Former France skipper Nallet, who has 74 Test caps, moved to Lyon from Racing Metro along with Chabal two years ago. the Top 14.
Lyon have convinced the 37-year-old lock to add one more season to his distinguished career which has seen him play over 200 games in the Top 14.
