Toulouse hooker and France U20 captain Christopher Tolofua has been hospitalised with an infected wound on his calf.
Tolofua, who has already been capped by the senior France side, was suffering from a fever caused by the infection.
The injury has ruled him out of Saturday's clash with England U20s. Still in hospital, Tolofua is awaiting the result of blood tests.
