Thats better, but a change of kit won't revive the flair and there is little of it about so far. Last season was a poor one for the national squad and they need to show their true abilities this season. Wouldn't care if they turned up in brown, it's the way they play thats important. Lets face it, new kit is just another revenue stream, nothing else, but the more you win the more you sell.

@kitch. no worries mate.

(PPS, next time i see an article on brad thorn, you will of course allow me to make a comment about gouging since he could be troy flavell as far as i know.... they're both locks, and both ABs, right?....only kidding)

Peace :-)

@kitch. no, it's not. you've got the wrong man, i'm afraid....

P.S. seems you don't know much about French rugby if you cannot identify a handful of our national team players :-)

is that the cowardly eye gouger from the rwc final!.. shame on addidas for allowing him to be a poster boy for french rugby!!

Wales have a sweet jersey, Cheetahs too. Personally the RWC jerseys are the best cause they have no sponsors on them. I appreciate that France are going old school, that last jersey was brutal. The simpler the better.

5Lock4ward - good point re the flag; looks more like the flag of Thailand which runs strips of red/white/blue/white/red on a horizontal - go Thailand!

Yeah 2010 was still dark but the nicest style of the recents, including white shorts & red socks.

Too bad for those stripes, why can't keep it simple...

Oh and yeah the shorts will be blue but the socks red.

@ : The 2010 kit was the best from Nike since 2002 but the blue was still too dark.

I'm not a fan of the strips above the chest but it's so way better than what we had for 10 years...

Only regret : it seems the shorts will be blue and not white...

Can't understand why some teams (France, Scotland, England [with the white socks]) want to look like All Blacks (with the black colour changed to colour of the designer's choice...)

Aren't they proud enough of their team's history to need copying New-Zealand's style ?

shsvs says...

Maubec you didn't like the French 2010 jersey?

Seems like most Adidas have this V collar, not to my liking, I prefer the old polo collar style or the ones Kukri makes.

5Lock4ward says...

Not a big fan of the Adidas self promotion by incorporating the French flag into their famous stripes across the shoulders. Also not a big fan of the accentuated collar; didn't care for it on the newest AB's jersey either. At least they're back to their traditional shad of blue.

Is there a logo indicating sponsorship from Societe Francaise D'Ophtalmoligie? Or Specsavers?

Back in blue ! At last !

As a frenchman, I was ashamed by Nike's latest kits : the blue short in 2003, the 2007 all dark blue kit (just created in order to mess with Adidas' All Blacks) and the 2011's horror in bue-black an strips and when France played in white, they looked like... England !!!

When I saw the new Argentine's jersey without the light blue strips, I really think like oceansnz, that Nike have nothing to do in the rugby jerseys industry.

Personnally, I think a jersey shouldn't be a mode accessory. It's not something designed to be worn when shopping or in nightclub.

It's a symbol. It's about who you represent and who you are successing. It's about respect and tradition.

Where are the England's dark blue socks ? And Scotland'swhite short ?

Do you imagine New Zealand with fuschia shorts ? Or South Africa with some silver socks ?

Stop messsing with our kits ! Go back to simplicity in design and tradition for colours.

I really liked Samoa RWC 2007's kit with the tribal tatoo in the back.

Kooga did a sober and clever job for 2011 World Cup's jerseys.

like how they've finally gone back to their original blue, not sure about the stripes above the chest...and they should have gone with the white shorts & red socks combo.

Never was a fan of Nike and their lazy generic design for all teams. They destroyed tradition in order to promote brand recognition.

I hope the French uniform includes the red socks again.

Look at the pic on the above right tho, looks like the French team all have very feminine shapes!

Nice to see the light blue back, I don't really like the stripes tho but otherwise it will look like the AB jersey.

I like the French jersey before the current one and many Stade Francais!

and the old school stripey yellow and black Wasps kit was cool aswell. the modern kit is a bit boring...
