Seems there may be a live stream on sportp2p.
@lacroix. you're right. we may be being a little pessimistic. seems the puma selection looks like a 3rd XV with contepomi the only recognised player. but the puma u20s looked very good, so i would not under-estimate players just because i have not seen them play before!! and after a very long T14 season (i'm not whinging, just stating facts) i'm not sure how "up for it" some of the Fra players will be. We will see, I guess.
Allez!!!

When ever have selections for the French National team made sense?
I also would like to know where I can view this game.

be nice to know where this will screened online as i'll be travelling.
not sure i'm quite so pessimistic about the chances of at least running the pumas close, but i do agree with rosbif and toulousain on the strange selections.

Agree with you Rosbif. Strange that PSA chooses to make only 2 new caps. One in the front row (the Puma's traditional strong point, Roncero etc.) and the other at 15 (where the new player will have to field high balls, etc). Why not play Buttin at 15 which is his best position? And give new cap to Martial at 14 who has had such a good season in T14.
I remember RWC when players like Doussain had to fly half way across the world and not even play, not even sit on the bench. Why does PSA take the new players and then not ask them to play?
Pape should have stayed at home. Because he is there, and he is captain, he must play and start. It's a shame because Samson has been excellent for RCT. And Taofifenua was the best forwad last weekend in the Betsen testimonial in Biarritz. Tolofua could easily start at hooker instead of Szarzewski. He played 5 minutes in the T14 final, so he can't be tired, And when will Guillamon have his chance at prop? Attoub is already too old.
Then in the backs, everyone wanted to see Doumayrou in the centre. If you pick Trinh-Duc, why not pick Doumayrou with him? In fact, why not take Julien Tomas on the plane instead of Parra. Then you have Ouedraogo, Picamoles, Tomas, TD and Doumayrou all together (all from Montpol)? Or if you leave TD at home, then you could play Doussain + Beauxis + Yann David, or Durand + Wisniewski + Estebanez.
I just don't understand PSA. Fra will lose this game anyway. With all the old faces he has picked, Fra will lose by 10 or less. If he had picked all the new caps, Fra might lose by 20 or more. So what? I remember England losing some games by 30 or 40 points in 2000 after the RWC99 QF exit. But they won RWC2003.

Hmmm. What was meant to be a young experimental side nevertheless has a lot of familiar faces methinks. Not sure there is much more we can learn about Szarzewski, Pape or the Parra-TDuc axis. Why not go for broke and blood some genuinely new players in the starting XV?? Seems PSA is caught slightly between two stools. And the likes of Mermoz, Michalak, Ouedraogo, Lapandry and Huget are hardly new faces.... more like a sort of "come-back" category. Seeing the way the U20s played in Cape Town, in particular vs a good Aus side, this could be the last chance for some of these players....
I agree with Carpelone. Pumas to win. Probably by more than 10. I may be wrong, but I think it's been more than a decade since Fra last won in Argentina. Pumas won't want to let that statistic slip....
Here's hoping it's televised somewhere on the web. @Ed: any pointers?
