the Irish posters on this article did not say that our players are sqeaky clean, D-'Arcy's tip-tackle, Heaslip's knee to the head, even Mr McCaw kneeing little Morgan Parra (can't say I blame him).

But we did'nt post any comments gloating about the fact.It was well out of order

anotherfarce - this is, apparently, a rugby forum; please keep your obvious racial biases to yourself, in your own country; New Zealand does, and always has, welcome people of all cultures.

As with Hong Kong, Macau and so on, you'll find it is Cantonese rather than Mandarin spoken by NZ-resident Chinese. And yes, in your ignorance, rugby is played here in Asia; according to the Asia Rugby Football Union - which has 28 member countries (including China) - 12% of the world¿s rugby playing population lives here.

Put "Darcy Spear" into youtube, funnily enough nothing much was said about this.

Trinats, "all they have is rugby", even if it was true it would still be satisfactory as it appears to be all you care about.. not that I expect you to have ever played the game.

So one person was spat on (alledgedly) , harden up Mary. Live a little and see the world, you will experience much worse than this.

Only 1 of the current All Blacks was born abroad, however, he and all other All Blacks travel on a NZ passport. Australia had 7 foreign born players the other night, welcome in another Kiwi (Vuna) this weekend, are awaiting Cooper (Kiwi) to return from injury, are captained by a Zimbabwean, coached by a Kiwi and the country is run by a Welshy. Talk about promoting your own.

As for Ireland, it's predicted rugby will be the number 1 sport, by participation, within the next 5 years, unlike Scotland, however. Most Kiwis have deep respect for the Irish as you saw when your team were bent over at the world cup last year... of course they'll roll NZ one day, and I sincerely hope I'm in Dublin the day it happens.

I agree that BOD is probably one of the best centers of all time, and that he is probably Irelands biggest threat to the AB's. I am an Ireland fan and will be standing on the back of my couch, barking my head off at the television during the match. I love the AB's simply because they are brilliant and if I ever have a son, I sure as hell am moving there to get him a good rugby education lol Anyway I know it seems like Ireland have little chance, with that whole 100yr thing going on, but honestly upsets happen and I would love to witness history.

Things must be desperate for an Irishman to bring up economic issues in a forlorn attempt to score a point......

@Forward_Pass

"if the Irish (or anyone else) had dropped Ritchie McCaw or Dan Carter on their heads, dislocated their shoulders, and near killed them, there would've been riots in the streets of Auckland and a 10 fold increase in domestic violence."

Yes, that's exactly what would have happened. We all would have grabbed our clubs, donned our leopard-skins and run around the streets grabbing women by the hair and dragging them around on the ground, in between fighting off dinosaurs... Idiot.

I didn't realise that BOD NEARLY DIED from his injury? Or are you just pushing the hyperbole again?

Do you not remember a certain Irish playing aiming a fully-fledged knee at McCaw's head in the last NZ v Irish clash in NZ? True, the result was nothing more than a headache for McCaw... but it was still a cheap shot aimed to injure.

Did Mealamu mean it? -> We'll never know. Was it dangerous? -> Yup, obviously. Did he get punished? -> He sure did.

Why bring it up again anyway? It happened 7 years ago now.

Tim Horan and Phillipe Sella are often compared with BOD and amazingly you see these World XV's with them as 13's, even though both played all their careers as 12's...Just put two of the best broken field running centres ever in Nonu at 12 and BOD at 13 in their prime on the same team and they'd carve any XV with either Sella or Horan at 12 paired with any A.N. Other of anyones choosing at 13...how about that A.N. Other being Tana Omaga, think BOD would love such an opportunity!!

nice of you to stand up for ireland though, but it is a dull atttempt to disguise the usual hatred in every of your posts for nz

are aussie fans so perfect i hard so much of the boooing at Scotland game, or was that them crying at end of game

The sort of hostility one has come to expect from Kiwis, surprised you didn't spit or throw a bottle in there !!

Ireland 4 million approx V NZ 4 million approx.

Should be close game, one would think.

Lets look at NZ, No1 rugby nation and RWC winners (albeit in the back yard) all they have is rugby, they source players outside of NZ.

Now lets look at Ireland, they have GAA both codes, Soccer (football) other world sports stars in many sports and then Rugby, played in Blackrock, Greystones and a few other towns (and the odd smart arse Aussie on here with no skills playing there for a couple of seasons to bring their skill level down !!!). It's no wonder they have never beaten NZ and each game NZ should win by 50+. However Ireland punch way above their weight and give 100% heart and every kiwi would deep down be nervous about the next few weeks as they know one day their record over Ireland will be broken, you don't have Craig Jubes to help you out this weekend !!!!

.

As for the debate about BOD he is right up there with Tim Horan and Mike Gibson.

Im glad your telling us about your wonderful peaceful culture in NZ. I just hope you can speak Mandarin as a 1st language as they own most of your land & industries now.

I wonder do the Chinese play rugby???

You get sillier by the day mate!!

You reckon BOD wouldnt have got a guernsey if he was an AB. You need to get that aluminium out of your diet, you could be suffering from alzheimers!!

Posted 08:21 07th June 2012

rangdaddy says...

BOD is one player and that doesn't win games against the AB's. Ireland needs every player to front up. Fundamentally both teams can scrum, run and tackle, but the All Blacks have a record that shows they do it consistently better than other nations. The Irish may want to break their duck, but no All Black player wants to be part of a team that loses to them first - this fear motivates the AB's! AB's by 20 points.

I see we are in accord conerningJ.Downey ive posted for years that he should be given a chance at 12 instead of the out of form D'Arcy.Hopefully next year when he is plaing with Munster DK will finally see what a good player he is.I think his partnership with C.Lala at Munster is mouthwatering myself and have high hopes for it lol.As to the squad ,well we all know how conserative DK is,he has his sights set only on the IRB rankings and not being in the 2nd teams draw for the next RWC.I along with you and othes i expect ,think he is missing a great oppotunity to blood young inform players ect .After all its worked for Wales ,England and Scotland going by yesterdays result.Even NZ will be blooding new exciting prospects in this series .We shall just have to wait and see if DK was right ,though like others i have doughts that the squad as of now will improve Irelands ranking come December.Anyone know if the RWC draw is before or after the Aurtum internationals .As they could have a very big bearing

Hate is a harsh word. For me it's a begrudging respect for a nation who can pump out dominant sports teams year after year. NZ, Brazil USA for B'Ball... etc..

Anyway... Trinats must be lost again.. this is a winners page buddy, the loser link is at the top, search "by country" then "A u s t r a l i a", you'll recognise them, they're in yellow :)
