Wales and British and Irish Lions centre Jonathan Davies faces a fitness battle to play any part in the 2014 Six Nations.

The Scarlets midfielder, who has announced he is moving to Clermont next season, suffered a pectoral muscle injury in November while playing for Wales against South Africa.

The Scarlets expect the 25-year-old to be out until March, already ruling him out of the first three Championship matches against Italy, Ireland and England.

And though the region say his recovery is progressing well, it remains unclear whether he will be fit to take part in the final two fixtures against Scotland and France (March 9th and 15th respectively).
