Wales and Dragons number eight Toby Faletau believes his decision to reject a move to the Top 14 was the right one.

Faletau starred on the British and Irish Lions tour to Australia and has been a first-choice pick for Wales since bursting onto the international scene at the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Now having just turned 23, Faletau was widely expected to leave the Dragons to move to France when his contract expired at the end of the season.

However discussions with his family, Faletau elected to further his immediate career in Wales in the RaboDirect Pro12 whilst not ruling out taking a similar opportunity in the future.

"I sat down with my dad and my family and we just had a chat and we thought it's not the right time to go anywhere so early on in my career," Faletau told the Telegraph.

"Hopefully, if I get the opportunity again some other time I may go then, but I will just have to see how it goes.

"I am here until 2015-16, so I will stay focused on that for now."

Reflecting on Wales' 15-24 defeat to the Springboks last weekend, Faletau ranked the level of physicality as right up near the top of all the matches he had played so far in his career, before focusing on Argentina.

"That was up there with one of the most physical games I've played in, and it took its toll," added Faletau.

"We've got to recover and get ourselves ready for Argentina this weekend, which will be another physical challenge. We lost to them last year, and hopefully it will be a better result this time.

"Argentina are big brutes, so we've got to match their physicality and their forwards.

"I think we managed to match South Africa's physicality, but we just couldn't get enough points on the board."
