Lydiate's destination unknown

11th December 2012 09:23

Dragons and Wales flanker Dan Lydiate has stated that he does not know yet where he will be playing next season.

Lydiate is currently recovering from a fractured ankle picked up playing for the Dragons in September, but announced last week that he would be leaving the region at the end of the season.

Voted as the player of last season's Six Nations Championship, Lydiate's stock remains high and he has been heavily linked with big-spending Racing Métro in Paris.

Despite the rumours however, Lydiate admits that for the moment his next move is undecided.

"I haven't decided yet, I've just told the Dragons I'll be moving on," said Lydiate to BBC Wales Sport.

"I've been there [The Dragons] seven seasons now, I need a change," he said.

"I want to push myself a bit further you know, I just want a new challenge.

"It was a massive decision, it wasn't one that was done on the spur of the moment, it was done over some time.

"It's just time for a change for me, but I'm just focusing on getting fit now and then I'll make my decision in the new year."
