Ewen McKenzie may be forced to hand a start to 20-year-old winger Chris Feauai-Sautia against Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday.

With a night out in Dublin rendering two wingers suspended for the Edinburgh clash, coach McKenzie acknowledged he may have to be "creative" with selection.

Feauai-Sautia has not played since his debut off the bench against South Africa in the Rugby Championship in Cape Town two months ago, but has been a member of the wider November Tests squad all tour.

Adam Ashley-Cooper and Nick Cummins wore jerseys 14 and 11 respectively in last week's win over Ireland, but both will miss out on Saturday's Test thanks to McKenzie's enforced sanctions.

Matters could yet be complicated further as outside centre Tevita Kuridrani could face a lengthy ban after being sent-off for a tip-tackle on Irish flanker Peter O'Mahony in Dublin.

McKenzie, however, remains hopeful the midfielder can avoid further punishment from the authorities at his hearing on Tuesday.

"There was a bunch of people involved in the tackle, there wasn't just one guy. It was quite clear in the video," McKenzie told the Sydney Morning Herald.

"There are other mitigating factors, too. The guy [Peter O'Mahony] wasn't injured, the point of contact on the ground, there's a whole lot of things we can talk about.

"[Kuridrani] has got no track record at all, so there's a whole lot of things there that will hopefully assist our cause."
