In response to a couple I read (all my opinion, of course!)
Giteaus needs an attitude adjustment, and a stint on the bench will either get his competitive juices going, or push him to Pomgolia/France/Japan chasing bucks. Either way, if he's not 100% right in the head, he can't mix it week in week out on the frontlines.
I don't reckon Habana has been the same since his injury last year. Plus, surely that coach couldn't get the best out of ANYONE, could he?
And Cliffy Palu is on the mend from a long term major leg (I think) injury. It's a shame, because he was just starting to find his 80 minute game instead of going AWOL, and we miss his ability to bend the line every time he runs it - exactly what Easter did to us every time he touched the ball last week.

Hello all. New to the site. Big rugby fan here in the Virgin Islands. Follow the Wallabies at every turn. Painful few losses. Team seems to be unable to steady their highs and lows. Gits has been out of form for far too long. Bit of time on the bench might just do him some good. Haven't seen the mongrel come out of the boys for far too long either. Hopefully Polatu-Nau will steel em up a bit. Cheers to England for a great display of brute force with precision.

I hope it doesn't rain again Barnesy! The ball gets awful hard to hold when it's wet and cold, doesn't it?

Barnes over Giteau?
I don't know what games the staff were watching over the past two weeks, but in the midweek, Barnes was playing terrible.
It would be god awful to loose to Italy, which is definitely possible, considering their pack is comparabile to most of Europe's, which are all better than Australia's.

Giteau's fall from glory is reminiscent to that of Bryan Habana - whose saving grace thus far has been a clot of a coach. What is the factor that causes dramatic fall-off in standards from great players such as these two?
