New Springbok wing Cornal Hendricks has signed a one-year contract extension with the Cheetahs.
According to a report, on the Volksblad website, Hendricks opted to stay with the Bloemfontein-based franchise despite interest from Western Province and the Blue Bulls.
The 26-year-old's current deal with the Cheetahs will expire at the end of October.
The former Springbok Sevens stalwart, joined the Bloemfontein-based franchise in 2013 with the hope of also representing South Africa in the 15-man code.
That dream came true when he made his Springbok debut against the World XV at Newlands, in June, and he also played in Tests against Wales and Scotland after that.
Meanwhile, the Cheetahs also confirmed the signing of Lions back-row Willie Britz. Britz has signed a two-year deal and joins the Cheetahs at the end of the year.
