Ulster prop Ricky Lutton knows that every game remaining in the RaboDirect Pro12 season is crucial in the race for the playoffs.
The Irish side travel to Glasgow this Friday with their hosts only five points behind them in the league heading into the final matches.
Looking to fight off Glasgow and Munster with both teams chasing Ulster's home semi-final spot, Lutton admits the race is wide open following Munster's loss to Glasgow last weekend.
"The results at the weekend have left it a completely open race now for that top spot," Lutton told the Ulster website.
"We have the most challenging run-in of all the sides in the mix which makes it difficult. We have essentially got three cup finals in the next number of weeks.
"We just have to approach them as one game at a time and keep ticking off the wins. If we win our three games we should have that top spot."
Ulster will go into the match with their tails up following last week's 58-12 thrashing of Connacht at Ravenhill.
Lutton though is cautious about playing at Scotstoun against a Glasgow outfit that have impressed this season. They also have a game in hand.
"Glasgow has always been a difficult place to go. It is never easy. They have their internationals back and they are starting to hit their straps towards the end of the season," added Lutton.
"I am sure that they will be looking at the table thinking there is a home semi-final for them if they can get three or four wins.
"They are not to be taken lightly and we know that it is going to be a real tough challenge going in there. However, if we but in a big performance, I think that we can win."
