Brian O'Driscoll officially became the most-capped player in the history of Test rugby after taking the field against Italy on Saturday.

In his final home international, O'Driscoll breaks George Gregan's 139-Test mark while also going to the top of the Six Nations appearances list (64 matches).

140 Tests, 139 starts, 132 matches for Ireland and 8 appearances for the British and Irish Lions

Ireland's most-capped player and record try scorer (46 tries).

The Six Nations' most-capped player and record try scorer (26 tries).

A record 83 matches as Ireland captain between November 2002 and June 2012, with 52 victories and 1 draw.

First game as captain against Australia at age of 23. Captained Ireland to the 2009 Grand Slam, four Triple Crowns (2004, 2006, 2007 and 2009) and at two Rugby World Cups.

A world record centre partnership with Gordon D'Arcy (55).
