Recovering: Adam Jones

Wales prop Adam Jones could return to full fitness in time for the next two Heineken Cup matches for the Ospreys.

Jones was forced out of the remaining November Tests after picking up a calf injury against South Africa.

The British and Irish Lions tighthead has missed the remaining matches against Argentina, Tonga and Australia, but Ospreys boss Steve Tandy is hopeful that the 32-year-old will make a comeback over the next couple of weeks.

The Ospreys travel to Castres on December 6 before hosting the French side at the Liberty Stadium seven days later.

"[Adam] won't be too far away. He is coming along nicely, but we will review that week by week and then see his availability for the Heineken," Tandy told the South Wales Evening Post.

"We haven't ruled Adam out of the European games. Hopefully, he will be ready to go, but it has been a real positive to get Aaron (Jarvis) back and come through a game (against Zebre) and Dan Suter has done outstandingly well through the LV = Cup and also did well against Munster when he came on and again against Zebre at the weekend.

"We are really pleased with that department, anyway."

Tandy is also conscious of the fact that the Ospreys will be missing several leading internationals when they take on Glasgow Warriors this weekend, with the Scottish side welcoming back their international players a week early.

"They are fortunate to have their internationals available, while we are probably missing 16 or 17 players in total," added Tandy.

"It isn't the perfect scenario for what the league needs or for the spectators, but we are second in the league and that is where we want to stay at the weekend.

"We have players missing, but we see it as an easy game to prepare for. We are going to have to have an outstanding attitude, which this group has, and we will be fully focused."
