Sale Sharks have appointed former All Blacks flanker Dan Braid as team captain for the new season.
Offering plenty of experience after nine years in Super Rugby with the Blues and Reds, Braid won six caps for New Zealand between 2002-2010.
Braid joined the club on New Year's Day and made an immediate impact with his on-field performances.
He made his debut at Saracens when he came on as a first half replacement for Andy Powell and was a regular choice in the team for the remaining games.
In all Braid played in twelve games, scoring three tries, including crucial scores against Exeter and London Welsh as Sale survived a relegation battle.
"Dan is a not only a great player he is a natural leader and is very popular amongst the squad we have assembled at Sale Sharks for the coming season," said Director of Rugby, Steve Diamond.
