David Skrela: Back where he started

Clermont fly-half David Skrela has rejoined Pro D2 outfit Colomiers on Wednesday, according to a source close to the buying club.

Alain Carre, president of Colomiers where Skrela began his career, refused to confirm whether the 33-year-old - capped 23 times from 2001 to 2011 for France - had signed with them, only commenting to AFP that "contacts had been made between the two parties".

Skrela, son of former France international backrow forward and a former les Bleus coach Jean-Claude, joined Clermont at the beginning of last season after three seasons with Toulouse, with whom he won a third French title in 2011, having won his previous two with Stade Français in 2004 and 2007.

Skrela's last international appearance was in the 2011 World Cup - in which France lost in the final to the All Blacks - when he was injured in the pool match with Japan.

rugbyheim- Obviously not that average when his list of former clubs includes the likes of Stade Francais, Toulouse, and Cermont. I don't remember seeing him single handedly lose 'many' games for les bleus.

Average player who was severely overated. Single handedly lost many games for Les Bleus, most notably the opening match against Argentina at the RWC2007.
