If there is one loose forward who is less effective than Daniel in the tight and tight-loose it is Kankowski. I suspect the SA scrum will struggle particularly in the last 20 minutes

Jaystarr - "Ryan Kankowski replacing Keegan Daniel"? Is this not what youre upset about...? and not Potgieter. He has nothing to do with Keegan not being in the team :D
Jacques Potgieter is a hard bruising rugby player. Thats what we need against this english team. It's been proven in the last two tests. Lets see what he can do before we judge him.

I have a feeling Josh Strauss has a few injuries and is not 100%.

JayStarr says...
I'm sorry, Jacques Potgieter has not convinced me yet. He had a handful of really good games for the Bulls... but what was the context of those? The Bulls were dominating. Then he got injured and missed the rest of the games. We didn't see him when the pressure was on in the Bulls' last few losses...
And last year? He was playing 1st Division Currie Cup rugby! I'm sorry, I am not having myself told he is a better selection than Keegan Daniel, Josh Strauss or Heinrich Brussouw (with Marcell Coetzee at 7 in this case) - whether he is 10 kgs heavier or not. He is not Willem Alberts and he does NOT bring what Willem Alberts brings - so this "like for like" excuse doesn't cut it either...
He is there mainly because he is a player who was identified and bought by Meyer for the Bulls (just like JJ Engelbrecht) - and now they are being fast-tracked to the Springboks... at the expense of better players who have paid their dues and done FAR more to prove their quality.
It is not right.

He is reminding me more and more of Harry Viljoen.
