Tyrrell: Heading back to Perth

Melbourne Rebels have confirmed Ryan Tyrrell has withdrawn from their playing squad for the 2013 season.

Tyrrell, who has previous played for Western Force and the Cardiff Blues, had signed a deal to turn out for the Rebels next season.

However the hooker has now opted to remain on Perth for personal reasons.

"We were looking forward to Ryan being a Melbourne Rebel this coming season, but due to circumstances out of his control he had to return to home," said Rebels head coach Damien Hill.

"The club is fully supportive of him and the decision he has made."
