Cited: George Stowers
Ospreys back-row George Stowers has been cited under Law 10.4 (a) following their 23-16 RaboDirect PRO12 victory over the Scarlets.
The incident for which the Samoan player has been cited took place in the 22nd minute of the first-half at Parc y Scarlets on Friday.
The hearing, before an independent RaboDirect PRO12 disciplinary committee, will take place later in the week, with a venue to be confirmed.
Law 10.4 deals with Dangerous Play & Misconduct and 10.4 (a) states "A player must not strike an opponent with the fist or arm, including the elbow, shoulder, head or knee(s)".

So, an incident witnessed by the touch judge, ref and video ref, which didn't deserve a penalty, is now a citing issue. Fine, but what will happen to the officials?

If there had been a proper ref in attendance maybe a yellow card would have been shown earlier than the 78th minute.....absolute farce!!!!!
