Edinburgh are set to be minus Roddy Grant and Lewis Niven for the rest of the season after the pair underwent respective surgeries this week.
Grant has gone under the knife to correct a wrist problem while prop Niven has a bicep issue.
Grant has been managing an ongoing wrist complaint during the season, with the call to repair a torn ligament taken at the end of the January. Niven ruptured his bicep representing Edinburgh Accies, also in January.
The pair are now targeting a return in time to begin a full pre-season with the Scottish club.
