Boudjellal confirms Habana arrival

14th December 2012 10:21

Rugby Championships South Africa v Australia Bryan Habana

Toulon bound: Bryan Habana

Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal has confirmed the arrival of South Africa wing Bryan Habana for next season.

The 2007 IRB Player of the Year has been a long-term target for the French side, with Boudjellal appearing to finally get his man.

Speaking to journalists, Boudjellal appeared to confirm that Habana would be arriving at Toulon for the start of the new campaign.

"On a scale of 1-10, I would say 10," said Boudjellal of the likelihood of the deal.

Habana will form part of a world-class backline alongside Matt Giteau, Maxime Mermoz and Frederic Michalak.

@APV1....

I don't think that money automatically buys success or a good team ethos, look at Clermont something like a ¿20 million annual budget and the grand total of 1 trophy to show for it.

I know its a professional sport now, and Toulon are finally looking dangerous but I won't be surprised if they still fall short, I will be quite pleased actually.

What a coup for Toulon. Even if JW does move on, they'll certainly not be short of talent.

So I guess money can buy you success after-all, eh?

And it'll be good seeing BH in the T14 and HC.

When will this madness end?, what ever happened to the FFR's ruling on oversea's players?.

Its the real elephant in the room when French and English clubs accuse Irish sides of resting players for European games, yet TOTAL SILENCE on the budgets in French clubs, Odd to say the least.
