Like the Chiefs v the Bulls in 2009; traveling twice from SA to NZ / AUS is just too tough, even for fit young men. Still the Chiefs game plan and commitment would have got them over the line IMO and besides the Chiefs had already beaten the Sharks in Durban.

T Latimer was / is an unsung hero and overshadowed is more illustrious opponents. Playing him ahead of Sam Cane was the right thing to do.
