Of course peewee2 would say that home ground advantage is overrated, he supports the Reds and hes trying to not make the fact that Reds host the Sharks despite sharks having more points seem that important lol

@ new_j4a - another case of "the student becoming the master", eh?!

@ Kiwidiver - how very dare you suggest that Cipriani struggled! He only left because he was fed up of doing all the work himself and getting so little recognition! That and the mediocrity of the SH players was draining his talent - he had to leave before he lost all of his abilities for ever.

Sorry peewee2, I don't agree with you. To say that the incredible distances to be travelled plus the advantage of a home crowd's roaring support do not favour the home team is nonsense.

I will give you that these issues are faced by all teams.

You must be laughing your a$$ off APV. You know the comments are just gonna fly. Lots of NH talent around to support the SH teams hey??? There's Michalak, Haskell for the Highlanders, that Canadian that went to the Stormers, Cipriani who couldn't/didn't cut it, and............

Nice poke bro. It's actually kind of refreshing to see some northern faces down here....even if they are like salmon swimming against the flood of SH player going to Top 14, English Clubs, Japan..........

I don't think the sharks should be overawed by travelling to Queensland. On paper you attack their forwards, deny the reds any forward platform and you should win.

That said having a ref like kaplin who isn't very strong when it comes to the set peice is a worry. because it could negate the sharks game plan. The Sharks need to be pro active and take the battle to the reds for 80 minutes. Don't sit on a 9 point lead and expect to win like the stormers faffed about last week with the Rebels.

Once again the SH teams relying on NH talent. Shame really. Such potential, yet such mediocrity produced.

"that kind of experience you can't buy". But they did by hiring Freddie! And Toulon have now bought it.

in my opinion travel and home ground advantage is over rated...

if a team is good enough to win the venue and distance is immaterial

all other talk is a sign of preparing an excuse for the likely failure at the final hurdle !

........... and this comment applies to all teams.
