kpe12 - yes a shame for TJ I thought he may have made the ABs end of year tour to NH if he'd continued to play well through ITM Cup season after Super 12. But accidents happen, plenty of other NZ Super players in club rugby during the break (rugby break not ankle break).

Quite a break - one report I read said he wouldn't play again till early 2013.

This match v Qland was an odd one, I thought it was for young/emerging players, but see Qland had Radike Samo at 35 in their side, unusual choice, yet didn't give Cooper a run when he'd benefit from eg 40min rugby having had so little game time since injury

What a terrible idea.

HEY! Lets give our players a tough friendly game to keep fresh, oh crap our key player just broke his ankle...

Who comes up with this?

Rugby (professional) is a super physical game where nearly every game results in an injury that will keep a player out for 1month+

Hurricanes season is done now. Lucky break for the highlanders maybe.
