Comparing teams man for man on paper is a rather academic exercise.... if this was to be the case the Crusaders would win everything! What is much more important is the intensity of the forward play and which team is able to dictate the pace of the game. I feel that the Sharks may be able to control the game better than the Chiefs... they may even have a better balanced team than the Chiefs. Look at the quality of the Sharks bench, in particular Jean Deysel and Jacques Botes.... bringing these two players on late in the game could change the game.

All position apart from hooker? Are you mad? I'd take the sharks 1,2,3,4,6,7,11, and 15 over the chiefs ones anyday!! Not to mention francois steyn who's illegible

GeorgeSmith: I take it you are kiwi bating? McCaw out of position at 8 has been fantastic.
Easy win for the Chiefs. Blowing the Sharks out of the water in the first half; shark fin soup in the second.

Disagree with you Jmanngod....the Sharks do not look the better team all round. So far they have beaten a very ordinary Reds team and a hapless Stormers outfit. If anything they are pretty much second best to the Chiefs in just about every position apart from hooker. The Sharks have combined well of late as a team, but the Chiefs have been the best team in the comp all year. So from a disappointed Saders nut.....c'mon the Chiefs boys!!! If the Sharks do win, cudos to them, but I feel it will be more a case of the Chiefs blowing it rather than the Sharks blowing them away.

All good things come to an end. R. McCaw's playing days r coming to an end. His decision making cost the Crusaders. Crusaders need to start benching him if not it will affect thhe whole team and players. T. Blackadder is affected, lack of game time and D. Carter also has ambitions to captain the team. There is a right time for everything.

good to see no sour grapes from McCaw... Crusaders were well beaten and the Chiefs might just win ... The Sharks look a better team all round, but .... travel may just take away their edge... 2 best teams in the final - no doubt.

The Chiefs have a much better chance than last time. Like the Sharks this time they traveled - SA / NZ - both ways twice - then had to face Loftus, full of mad Bull's fans while having just two of their own supporters - the coach's brother and his wife! At least the Sharks will have some expat supporters.
The Sharks wont be easy but its odds on for the home town. You can get the feeling they are like their namesake in the ocean - doomed.

That's a big comment coming from that man, but I think the Sharks will have something to say about that...........

The thing about the Chiefs this year is they have all these young and unheralded players who are just out there getting stuck in and doing the job. Defensively they have been very intense most of the time this year, which has been a failing of Chiefs sides in the past. On attack they have probably the best overall strike players in the comp( along with the Hurricanes).
If they are as intense on defence & attack equally as the semi-final game they should win against the Sharks. The Sharks are the most improved team during the comp though, so Chiefs will need to bring their A game
