@ davodiablo - Hear! Hear! I recorded it and watched it later. And fast-forwarded therought the ads, so they were wasted on me, at least.
@ passtheball - us lot up here in the NH, have the impression that no-one south of the equator bothers to watch our rugby. It's been alleged that it's too boring.

I took the time honored tradition here in OZ to chuck a sickie on the friday so i could watch the game,it was on at 2:30 in the afternoon and i wasn't going to miss it.As much as i am a true Crusaders fan,i won't go into the ins and outs of the game and lack of enthusiasm by some players, the Chiefs held out and had done their homework, good win and now i will look forward to saturday and the final, should be a cracker.

@passtheball ..you missed my point . If you have to put up with night games for the NH audience at least make sure its Saturday and not Friday . Doesn't that defeat the object. BTW I'm a Kiwi .

Daviddiablo - Sorry you had to work on Friday and missed the game but have you perhaps thought that SH players and viewers are feed up with night games in the cold and inferior conditions just so you, in the NH, can view while eating your bacon and eggs? There is no chance that you would do the same courtesy when playing your NH games is there? Australasian fans have to get up in the middle of the night to watch those live.

crusaders had an off night.....more noteably carter, dagg and guilford. Fruen too anonymous for finals rugby too. Crusaders definitely missed the likes of reids ball carrying and composure
on the other hand cheifs on top of their game yet still only managed to squeak it... Cruden showing really confident form and for me was the difference on the night..bit dissapointed to see the unneccessary dirty niggle though!
im sure the sharks are happier playing the chiefs rather than going to chch

Unfortunately it is always the little mistakes that often cost big time, McCaw is a class act and will learn from this, undoubtedly.
darftbok - it's you that's lost your composure, you're a goose.

I'm just wondering after not seeing the game . Why bother playing at night for NH TV audiences when we are all at work on a friday morning ? Saturday next time please .

@darthbok
What a sad, bitter, thing you are - a disgrace to the many sporting South Africans who recognise - and applaud rugby talent & skill. Back into your hole - you vile creature.

EDITOR PLANET RUGBY. You should seriously think of moderating these comments and taking out those with heaps of garbage. Mate the amount of bull dished out at players is ridiculous!!
Saw an article about abuse at refrees. Maybe about time it is also applied to players who I doubt read these columns or reply to the personal attacks.
Just wonder has anyone who throw mud at McCaw ever played the game at any level???

darthbok...
I'm convinced that you have never actually watched or understood a game of rugby other than to see if your team has won.

TheMascot, had the same question running through my head, is it that Cruden has come so far, or has Dan gone over the top of the hill???

Billymutt2...I agree with you, Darthbok's comments were a stark contrast to RMc' post match. While I believe the ref was hotter on many TRM issues than we have seen in many other games, and it would appear likely Crusaders got penalised more heavily than usual, I think Darthbok jumping straight to that also does the Chiefs a disservice. It also says an unfortunate thing to me about the individual. The pure intimidation of RMc from that start was obvious, and congrats to the Chiefs for thinking of it and pretty much continuing with the plan for most of the game. I think their strategies were well thought out and as another poster said, it was the sort of stuff that makes finals and derbies great, where it doesn't come down to reputation or the status of individual players. The Chiefs thoroughly deserved it, which I think is what RMc admitted - why not focus on that Darthbok instead of taking the opportunity to stick a knife in ?

Crudens test will be up vs the Wallabies if he is given the opportunity if he is to prove he is better than Carter

I was very keen for the Chiefs to win so seeing McCaw disappointed at the end was the icing. But he will live to fight another day and at least it'll serve to fire up the All Blacks in that team to rip a few new ones next time they play. From the Chiefs side, it's good to see our next generation are stepping up to the plate.

Good one @Darthbok, keep them coming. Your class, in comparison to Richie McCaw who is as graceful in defeat as he is in winning, is quite evident.
Please send us another of your insightful posts after you learn that the final will not be played at Newlands.
