Im very excited about this game but I don't think Cane-McCaw is the only interesting showdown happening here, there is also the Carter-Cruden showdown.

Cane quicker but McCaw stronger, cannier and a far better lineout option. Overall better than Cane by a fair old margin. Keiran Read, in my opinion, is better than them both at the present time, and the best loosie on the planet right now, taking over the mantle of best no.8 from the admirable Pierre Spies. Talking of the best going around, how was that sly dog Conrad Smith with his two tries against my mob last week?!? Even if poor blind Bryce gifted him the second try, he's still a super-tricky customer. He'll make a great solicitor! Richie, Read, Dagg and D.C.to make the difference on Friday ---- Crusaders by a few.

The match between Richie and the young pretender isn't going to decide things - the real issue is going to be Keiran Reid - if he is on form the Crusaders will have the edge...

Richie by a mile, but Cane to emerge from the experience a step closer to being the future replacement of the great man. If he's smart, he'll find some time to hang back a bit and watch the master.

It will be interesting to see. Cane seems very athletic and dynamic, experience is on McCaw's side.
I feel for Mils, he would have loved to be in the Chiefs' mix this year, after long years of underperformance. Pity.

I'll put my money on the little tyro, I watched him carefully against Ireland. He looks very fast over the ball and a good low center of gravity when going into contact.
Reminded me of Heinrich Broussow.

Richie should win the head to head hands down as he has loads more experience but it'll be tough for the crusaders and I don't see the chiefs letting up...chiefs by 10.
