Scarlets lock Jake Ball will start for Wales at Twickenham on Sunday after Luke Charteris was ruled out with a neck injury.
Ball will start his second consecutive Six Nations match after featuring against France at the Millennium Stadium a fortnight ago.
He moves into the starting XV from the bench, where his place is taken by Newport Gwent Dragons second-row Andrew Coombs.
Charteris has been a fundamental component of Wales' lineout so far in the Six Nations, with the news of his withdrawal coming as a late blow for the two-time champions.
